Tanu Muiño is a director and photographer born in Odessa and raised between Ukraine and Cuba. Tanu is now dividing her time between Ukraine, LA and London.

Having starting her career in fashion, first as a stylist and then launching her own label, she picked up a camera to shoot her own stills, and swiftly moved into directing in 2012, wishing her photos would move.

Inspired by the 90s videos she grew up watching on MTV, the dark glamour of Cruel Intentions and Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo+Juliet, and Wes Anderson’s attention to detail, Tanu now creates epic and award-winning visuals that are notable for their angular and active camerawork, humour and hyperreal production design.

She has collaborated with everyone from Katy Perry, Rosalía and Cardi B to Lil Nas X, The Weeknd, Post Malone and Gucci.

This year alone, she has scooped Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs, Best Director and Best Pop Video at the UKMVAs and a Best Video Grammy Nomination for her Lil Nas X Montero video.
