Lado Kvataniya is regarded as one of the most acclaimed directors in the world. He recently directed the feature film “The Execution” and won a best direction Clio this year for his powerful short film Waltz. He was awarded the Young Director Award at Cannes Lions and went on to win and be nominated for the Shots Awards, MTV VMAs, BET Awards, Berlin Music Video Awards, and the UKMVA Awards.
Lado first pursued a theater education. As a student, he discovered Fellini and Tarkovsky, who made him fall in love with filmmaking. He quickly forged a path directing some of the most visually daring and fantastical short films, commercials, and music videos.
As a storyteller, Lado uses metaphors and images to convey his message. He prioritizes cinematography and creates original fantasy worlds that combine science fiction and realism.
Lado has collaborated with some of the world's biggest brands, including Volkswagen, Google, Reebok, Haval, Vogue, Beats by Dre, and dozens of music videos for artists like Cardi B and Kanye West.
